Hello & Well Done

Postby Malcolm on Fri Oct 16, 2009 3:53 pm

This is my first post so, just want to say hi to all & a big well done for the performance on Tuesday. A good night for the club, full of positivity. Hopefully, it's the start of an upturn in fortunes.

I am a Yeovil fan living in Bristol (go easy on me) but, the Mangos are my second team & try to watch whenever I can (with one or both of my boys). I was so thrilled with the Truro win and thought the performance was top notch. The hard work paid off and, in the end, justice was done with the better team winning through. Play like that against FGR and a surprise is on the cards.

Whilst talking of FGR, It is very annoying that they will not switch the tie to Sunday. This has given me a big problem as Yeovil play the Gas same day. I have had a long think on this one and have decided to come and support the Mangos that day. The Tuesday performance deserves that at the very least. I have seen Yeovil play at the Mem a few times anyway.

So, my youngest and I will will be cheering loudly in the quest to reach the 1st round proper. I have always found Cosham Street a very nice ground to visit. Always made welcome and very friendly. The club deserves more support and I hope I can help that along in my own little way. I will certainly try to get along more often.

Again, a massive well done and thanks for a memorable night.

Thanks Craig.

The Stand, second row from front. It's where I usually sit when I can get to a game (not as often as I would like). I would prefer to stand but, sadly, the condition of my knees stops me from doing that. I think food takings also rise when I visit as the food is always good. :).

Where do you position yourself for games?

Yep, guilty as charged. Also had a few cones of chips through the evening as well. My eldest son was with me also. I think we were both chatting during the pen shoot out on how unusual it was for a lino to rule out the miss because the goalie was off his line.

If that was you, it was nice to meet and chat. Hopefully chat again soon.

Look at it this way Craig. We shall only play FGR once in this type of match - you have the rest of the season to play on a Saturday. Go on, have a bag of chips and cheer on the Mangos  Both Dave S and myself have the real problem - we are both on holiday!!!!!

Now here's a point. Having looked at the highlights on ITV and the lino pulling up the keeper for moving, if you look at the previous penalty, which Arnie blasted against the bar, he should have flagged for that as well. Keeper moved both times, although in a different direction. I could see no difference between the two.

Anyway, Malcolm and Craig - enjoy the day, have some chips and cheer on the lads for me - go on, you know it makes sense :D
