Looking Eastward

Postby viracocha on Wed Jul 01, 2009 8:58 pm

It has always been known that Viracocha always faces the rising sun - the promise of a new dawn. It is a good omen therefore that the MIGHTY MANGOS will travel EAST in their FA Trophy adventures. Progress against SLOUGH will mean another trip towards the Eastern skies of UXBRIDGE

The Man they call Bater - 'hewn of the blue and white' - faces an earlier FA Cup test against another Eastern based side - BRACKNELL TOWN. Viracocha will guide him spiritually so that the MIGHTY MANGOS will have early successes and put a smile on the face of the Great One - Richardson

The new dawn is not so far away :D Viracocha is with you all.

Well, Vera, yes, some interesting Cup draws for us today, though as was pointed out to me earlier today, don't Slough play at Beaconsfield Psychos these days? Same area, I suppose. It's all on the way to Chesham - oh, the memories of our nightmare visit there 3 or 4 years ago!!!

Who knows whether we'll get past Slough? We're going into the unknown this season anyway. The Slough area will be great for plane-spotting, I guess. Still, another nice trip up The Smoke to Uxbridge if we can get past Slough.

As for the FA Cup, it's home to Bracknell and then home again if successful, perhaps v Bitton. That would be interesting!

But if you look at the full cup draw on FA.com, we only just missed out on playing Yate! I think (if I remember rightly) we were match 146, they were the one before us. It's always better in my view to play teams you don't know too well, whereas local derbies might bring in a good crowd, but then there's added pressure of trying to win through to the next round against a local rival, who is just as determined. (MUFC v Bitton would get a big build-up though for obvious reasons!)

But whatever, we'll take it all as it comes. :D :D :D

Well Dave at last you've finally got the message that I am not Vera. So let's get down to proper football related business.
Two good ideas for the Mangos:
1. Now City have Paul Hartley in the bag why not approach them to borrow a midfielder. I doubt this will happen as we lack ambition and we have the man 'hewn from blue' at the helm.
2. The Aussies really adore the baggy green cap and are honoured to be presented with it. Even Richie Benaud was bowled over and tears fill his eyes whenever he recalls the occasion.
So why don't we have the flaming b***s to take this a stage further and present a special claret and blue baggy cap to each fan who has attended 100 matches (including at least 3 away matches which just lets me in). It could be presented on the pitch. For those, unlike myself, who have not already attended the ton, they could prove it by signing a record sheet at each game they attend. Perhaps Dave, Bob, Ron or Keith could be in charge of administering the scheme.
Claret and blue caps will have to be withdrawn from the shop as they can only henceforth be awarded.
This will not only boost attendances but ensure that once awarded the cap, fans will NEVER desert the club in future, even if they do appoint an ex-Gashead ******* who therefore knows sod all about how to play football.

When one talks of Viracocha, it is important to spell the name correctly. My wrath, for the moment is contained and I can be forgiving, but it will not always be so.

It would be wise NOT to refer to me as Vera Duckworth 8)

I have spoken with the Man they call Bater -hewn from the blue and white - and have told him of a promising midfield player who could play a big part in the revival and fortunes of The Mighty Mangos.

LEE COLLIER will prove to be a big influence. Heed my words.

Viracocha is with you - have faith

HOC you said, "Well Dave at last you've finally got the message that I am not Vera."

You can think that if you like!

And hey presto, after HOC's message along comes Vera (Oops, mustn't say that, must I, otherwise feel the "wrath") I mean Virococha, who now seems to be acting as Phil Bater's spiritual advisor by telling him who to sign next.

Yeah, whatever!

Allo Vera,
What would your position be if the Mangotsfield manager was 'hewn from red and white', somewhat different I fancy?

Also are you trying to insinuate that the current MUFC manager is the love child of the former Conservative Prme Minister and MCC chairman: Sir Alec Douglas Hewn?

Please, it is VIRA...not Vera

I have travelled across time from many thousands of years to HELP your club and all you can do is tell me to jog on to another club? It seems to me that in the past, YOU have been one of the people on here with a somewhat negative attitude, at times, and that is what the club does not want, so let's all be positive shall we?

I do have news of several players who will be at pre-season training but I have been asked by The Man they call Bater - hewn of the blue & white - not to disclose them for obvious reasons. A certain club, with the name of blue, have been 'sniffing around' our current new signing and that is why we have to use some common sense.

Even you Mr. Powell, should realise that

HandsofClay - what a strange name for one so young (I assume that you are young), As for Viracocha referring to the Man they Call Bater being "hewn of the blue and white", I have my reasons. This man has been a very strong person for the football club called Bristol Rovers. My reference to him is out of great respect.

I also have great respect for the Assistant Manager, ANDY EISENTRAGER, who's Father was a legend at another Bristol Club and who was almost certainly "hewn from the Red and White"

The only allegiance that Viracocha has, is to the MIGHTY MANGOS. My return from antiquity is for that reason only. To guide the club spiritually and give help to those at the club who may need it.

The Great Man - Richardson- has asked me to rid the club of negativity and to guide you all to a positive outcome.

Some may mock me, but I have no problem with that. I only want what is best for this Football Club. I thought that this forum was for people of the same feeling, otherwise why should they post messages on here?

Have faith.

I am always with you - Viracocha has returned 8)

I anticipated that Virus Gotcha would use the Alec Eisenstrager City link which is why I mentioned ALEC Douglas Hewn. I think this should prove to Dave that I'm innocent as I would not attempt to trip myself up.

As for being young I was initially flattered by your comment. However I then realized that Henry VIII if he were still alive and supporting Rangers would be considered young compared to Virus Gotcha.

Finally, don't worry about Craig, he once told me on here to b****r off and form a forum of my own. His modus operandi is to inform anyone he dislikes or disagrees with to sod off which incorporates 99.64% of the population (the other 0.36% are recipients of care in the community orders).

Its nothing to do with disliking people. Its do with the fact that this a forum for Mangotsfield United FOOTBALL and all a lot of people use it for is doing childish wind ups.

This is indeed irritating for genuine users.

Being a member on a number of forums, i can assure u that the moderators/Admin would not put up with these junk postings on the forums and feel it is about time ours steps in and rids this site of them. Although i am thinking he is worried to do so as he will then be moaned at by certain sections of this forum.

Looking through other team forums and seeing all the posts being of a sensible nature, any guests to the site must be thinking we are all a right bunch of muppets and is further dragging the club down where we are trying to lift it from.

What is wrong for using this forum for its primary purpose and talking only about football (except for in the appropriate threads)??????

For once me and Craig actually agree - I guess it's because the subject is not about football!!

These ridiculous wind up postings are a pain in the backside and we'd be better off banning them from the site. They make the forum look naff!

OK Daveyboy and Craig. I thought I was talking about football. Anyway it was so obviously a wind-up and was purely meant as a little fun. Obviously no-one on here has a sense of humour anymore - probably never did!

I apologise for having dragged your forum to the depths. You can now return to having one as dead as Yate Town's

I will return to antiquity as you wish me to do. Now your forum won't be so naff any more.

See you all at the friendlies

Let me know what fora you frequent Craig, I'll avoid them like the plague. Must be as much fun as watching Last of the Summer Wine with toothache.
Well done for making this such a humourless forum in keeping with your miserable personality.
As for DAVEYBOY, that takes the biscuit. Most of us know who you really are along with your other tried, and failed, incarnation Mangoman.

I totally agree that this forum is used for mostly childish wind ups. I get irritated when people accuse me of being somebody else. O.K my views seem to annoy people but I am genuine and a non league fan like all the rest of you.

I am just a Frank Gregan fan who feels he was harshly treated at Mangotsfield after he agreed to take on the job that nobody else wanted. I am only expressing my opinions on here which is what forums should be about.

These wind ups do make a mockery of things and Viracocha has been on here as somebody else I reckon. He has made a point of having a go at Greganite in the same way Slr 21 did before he ran off and it would not surprise me if they were the same person.

Anyway I notice you have formed a new supporters club and good luck with this, the only people who deserve the jobs in running it from the fans who post on here are the genuine ones. Dave S. Craig and Daveyboy. They seem to support the club without resorting to silly games.
